Areas of Focus
We specialize in the evaluation and treatment of repetitive strain injuries (RSIs) of the upper extremity, including the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder.
What is a Repetitive Strain Injury (RSI)?
A repetitive strain injury (RSI) is a condition caused by repeated movements, sustained positions, or overuse over time, leading to irritation or damage of muscles, tendons, nerves, or other soft tissues. These injuries often develop gradually and are commonly associated with work tasks, technology use, fitness routines, and daily activities.
Common Upper Extremity RSIs We Treat
Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (chronic)
Tendonitis (Wrist/Forearm/Shoulder)
De Quervain’s Tenosynovitis
Lateral Epicondylitis (Tennis Elbow)
Medial Epicondylitis (Golfer’s Elbow)
Cubital Tunnel Syndrome
Thoracic Outlet Syndrome
Intersection Syndrome
Rotator Cuff Tendinopathy
Biceps Tendonitis
Ulnar Nerve Entrapment (at wrist or elbow)
Radial Tunnel Syndrome
Myofascial Pain Syndrome (Upper Extremity)
Chronic Wrist Instability from Overuse
We take a whole-body, root-cause approach, addressing not only the site of pain, but also contributing factors such as:
Core and proximal stability
Movement patterns and biomechanics
Ergonomics and daily habits
Treatment is highly individualized, combining hands-on therapy, neuromuscular re-education, and targeted exercise to restore optimal function and prevent recurrence.
